I ordered their regular oiled filter too which is pictured. It’s big enough with that 6” inlet you most likely don’t need a race filter at sub 1kwhp.
When are you going to install it?

Where did you order the coupler?

WOW!!! That's slick!!! Did they just shorten the housing? Probably WAY overkill for me, but PDs don't like any restriction on the front, so... I wonder what tuning's like...

SUPER cool though, especially for you built guys. This looks very promising.

They only issue I see is when you open up the MAF housing that much you start to deal with other issues such as low speed drivability from low MAF resolution. Think about how low in the MAF range idle/tip in will be with a 6" housing? Especially something with a mild cam or stock cam that idles 600-700rpm. Not saying it "can't" be tuned, but chances are it will take some work.

That's what I was thinking... Setting DYNAMIC AIRFLOW - HIGH RPM DISABLE higher doesn't account for too much, though, right, because the ECM's always looking at the MAF for AIRFLOW?

I was just doing it more to play around with and help the community out with a different option. My car is already eating the tires up in 4th more power isn’t going to help matters on the street. If the length of the maf housing puts it in the right spot I will then be tempted to measure and notch the Big Gulp heat shield. I would first see if you were willing to see how much work the tune would take by just hooking the intake up with no heat shield first. I think the Cordes intake on the C7Z’s works well on high HP because the entire intake tube including the MAF portion is 5”. I don’t think the filter is the problem on the Big Gulp intake as much as the ID of the MAF housing. The filter on my C7Z is smaller than the Big Gulp on the ZL1.
