You are correct. PTM is only available in the Track in mode. Launch control can be accessed from Sport or Track.

I drive in Sport mode 99 percent of the time but I do put in track mode when I feel like I want to change.

I run Touring mostly just because it is a DD and I am trying to take it easy on the total of the components added up. I do switch modes and the one you do not want to accidentally hit is SNOW/ICE... did that once and when I went to go, it said NO!

Are you saying they changed the formula or design of the OEM ZLE GY SC 3R tires since 2018? I dont think so, these are still the best DOT track tires in the world IMO and there is no time to to be made up on other DOT tires like PSC2 R or Pirelli Trofeo R, 3R are better or at least best track tire for ZLE they were designed for—hell all the GT3 RS and Mc 720/765 track guys in CA swear by them and they can afford anything.

I'm in sport most of the time. The throttle mapping is fun. I do run track mode when I am on a nicer road and I like the better throttle control. I keep exhaust in track mode.

Chevy has this video unlisted. They can make a good car, but they can't do anything else well.

You can switch the exhaust sound to any mode you want independent of the drive mode. By default, the exhaust is tied to the drive mode, but if you want touring suspension, shifting and steering and still loud exhaust, that's an option.

For example, right now I'm still breaking the car in so I want low rpm shift points, but in touring mode the exhaust is too quiet, so I changed exhaust sound from automatic to sport, without affecting anything else.

I would feel the same way if GM hadn't removed the video.

LOL, now I find that our high-performance manual says to use PTM Race for the most consistent performance at the drag strip.

I use track mode all the time in my car because I like the throttle response in that mode. Much more linear compared to sport, I think. In sport mode the throttle is just a little too sensitive.

I always drive in Track mode mostly because I prefer the firmer steering feel/weight.
