Nissan GT-R info
http://www.leftlanenews.com/nissan-t...-for-gt-r.html
"Nissan dealerships in Japan began taking pre-orders for the upcoming GT-R sports car yesterday. Buyers will be able to place their pre-orders up until the car's October 28th unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show. However, anyone who signs to take delivery of the car must do so, no order cancellations will be allowed. The GT-R is available in three different variants. The standard model is rated at 480 horsepower and starts at $57,000 with the up-level V-Spec raising the price to $67,000. The GT-R EVO-Spec — which has 530 horsepower and sheds 200 pounds — retails for $94,000. Buyers will begin to take delivery of their cars starting in December. There has been no word from Nissan if the GT-R's warranty will be voided if it is sold within the first year it is titled"

I'm not a fan of the new Skyline GTR... i much preferred the R33's and R34's.

Same here, but the rear end of the new one looks very tempting. I hate the running mascara look on the front though. The black section should stop above the ducts.

480 hp? doesn't japan use mules...so it'd be like, 300hp? j/k
I kinda like the rear too...mostly because it reminds me strongly of the Camaro's... |

that pricing is terrible - but in it's defense - it is a decent-looking car.
Somebody would have to try real hard to rice that car out. |

I don't think the pricing is too bad. Even 530 hp for $94,000 it is still cheaper than Euro cars with similar power offerings.
This car also supposedly turned the quickest lap time on the Nurburgring in Germany. This thing is aiming at the Porsche 911 Turbo, and so far it is beating it and is much cheaper. Aside from the power I am sure it will have insane handling. **Just forget about the Z06 and ZL-1 for a second **

God only knows what the price in the UK will be... i remember the R34 GTR's were a complete rip off at £54,000... especially as you could get an import (on the road) over here for £30,000.
Needless to say that "UK spec" R34's are rather rare!! |
