Have been experimenting with the Hex Vents the last few days.

I installed the Hex Vents with the drip trays last week and notice the coolant temps were about 10* to 12* higher.

To confirm this, last night I took the car out, did my hour drive, sat @ lights etc. and noticed the coolant temps when I stopped were 204*.

Today I took out the drip trays (in other words wide open) and did the exact same drive. This time, the coolant temps were 192*.

Ambient temps were the same, time of drive the same. Looks like 'venting' full open helps keep the under-hood temps much cooler -- perfect for summer!

Normally, I'd only use the drip trays if I see rain coming for a few days (like on a trip) so I keep a set ready to install. Wintertime, if its going to be cold, I'll put them in to keep the temps up.

So, I'm going out again tomorrow or the next day to confirm (provided its not raining here ;o). Looks like full vent is worth the change...

any special way how the heat exchanger goes, the inlet on the bottom is bigger than the one on top?

The HX appears to be the newer style. The top should use a normal hose, bottom looks to be using the quick connect. You may need to split the hose with the quick connects and use a junction to splice the hoses together. One of those hoses may come out of the lid for the intercooler so make sure. If you can post the hoses with this kit, I'll see what you have...

I think I have to splice the two small hoses one that has the quick connect and the other small hose that is L shape

The Far left comes out of the lid to the intercooler reservoir for sure.

The snaked shaped in the middle looks like your brake booster hose.

The top one looks like its from the output of the HX to the intercooler lid.

You'll need the reservoir to the lower HX inlet -- that may be the two pieces left -- not sure if you have more hose lengths -- may need a short bit but that looks like you have it...

what do I do with the pcv line from the super charger lower manifold, I don't have an LS3? Do I just plug it or can I connect the pcv line from lower manifold to the rear pcv line on the valve covers.

I see on your thread you have a T connected from your cai connected to the rear of pcv line on valve covers to the pcv line right next to the injectors connector.

Ok , if you don't have the tube in the valley cover, you'll want to run a line from the drivers side valve cover port to the port on the sc manifold. This would be a good time to consider a catch can. The passengers side port can be routed to the intake tube...

On catch can,would I order an l99 or ZL1 catch can?

Yes , just the way the L99 was.

On the catch can, you can use one that has 2 lines or a pcv version like I have. Your choice really. The ZL1 specific ones are based on where they mount on the LSA setup. Remember, the ZL1 has a different setup in the engine bay...
