I like vanilla yogurt...?
I want my Camaro turbo'd. There, I said it. I want the biggest, nastiest snail shell I can fit under the hood piped to the biggest chromed intercooler anyone has ever imagined. I want a frontbar with massive jowles that my intercooler peers through, and I want all the ricers to burst into tears at the thought of such a fanged beast. I want to be running on so much boost that the car is riding the upper edge of absolute unenjoyable power. Then, I want the most unnecessarily loud BOV I can find, so I can revel in joy every time I shift, as for some strange reason I can hear it over the roaring V8. While all wheel drive would be great, because I would be doing disgusting 4-wheel burnouts down the street whenever I get the whim... I'd prefer RWD as I ache to learn to put my car sideways around corners, but stay in control. I want some magical all-window tint that fades at the push of a button so that cops can't ticket me. That's what I want... *sigh* Last edited by Good53X; 11-20-2007 at 10:14 PM. |

...Wow.
Isn't it nice to release, and admit you're a power-hungry, Camaro enthusiast? And Diarmadhi, I thought that when you said 'replace the drivetrain with a V8" that you assumed the Roadster held as much power as a Chevy Small block. That's why I mentioned it. No biggie Oh, and because I'm a post-whore : I don't want any piece of GT-R underneath my Camaro... |

Never thought of being the "designer", only the one to add mods to a factory car. So many thoughts going on here lol.
My dream Camaro from the factory: - Red paint, Red interior. Red on red is amazing.. - Leather interior. - Two painted white stripes going down the center of the car parallel to each other. - 4 inch cal hood. - RWD - 6 speed automatic Transmission WITH paddle shifters. - 4 wheel disc brakes - Flow Master exhaust system, or some type of identical exhaust made from the factory. - Chrome rims. - Spoiler. (Not too big, maybe one like on the 4th gens.) - Removable Hardtop. - 500+ HORSEPOWER - Cold air induction system. - Z rated tires from Goodyear. - TUBED CHAISE. - FULLY TUBBED WITH HUGE SLICKS IN BACK. - Radar scrambler. - Lowest to ground aloud by law, (3 inches? not sure but I think its 3.) - Oh hell, lets throw a super charger on it with a 3 inch belt Well thats my dream car.. its a SS and a half, thats for sure. As far as me being a designer for GM, I would probably incorporate some of those things into the Camaro and make a concept with all of them for me to keep. |

Thought of a couple of additions and I was inspired by some other folks' comments...
My Ride: AWD Camaro ZR1 Rally Sport V2 _Engine_ -GEN V DOHC Engine (4.0L->5.0L) featuring: --Machined 7075-T7 block with plasma coated cylinder bores --Forged rotating assembly (4340 crank, titanium connecting rods, 4bolt mains, forged pistons) so it can spin to 9000rpm! --Sodium filled exhaust valves with 3 angle port and polish on the heads --Long tube headers with the dual-mode exhaust from the Z06 (which can switch from 'loud' to 'louder than hell's marching band') --Twin Mitsubishi Dual-Scroll Turbo's (larger version of those found on the BMW 335i) --Engine Control Unit with toggle-switch-style user interface (like on a fighter plane) so I can flip to 'cruising mode' for better mileage or 'attack mode' for, um, attacking! The goal here is 500hp with a superlight engine that can cruise the highway with good mileage (turbo's aren't active and the cylinder deactivation is runnin) _Mechanicals_ -AWD System from the Sierra Denali -Full Independent long travel suspension from the Holden Commodore Ute. -Hydroformed Aluminum Frame from the Z06 -Carbon-Ceramic brakes from the ZR1 -Carbon Body panels from the ZR1 -6 Speed Auto from ZR1 with padel shifters -Magnorheological Fluid Dampers from Cadillac -Air Ride suspension that can be raised or lowered depending on road conditions (from Cadillac Escalade) _Interior Items (thnx Dragoneye!):_ -Full Leather package offered in the Corvette (which covers EVERYTHING in buttery leather) with my own 'Alcantra' inserts on the steering wheel, center of the seats, and on the headliner. -Chrome toggle switch panel underneath a hideaway panel with keypad entry (so the Valet can't mess with it!) -Digital Display for gauges with user-configurable output (with the ability to display EVERYTHING about the car, a la' the Nissan GTR's crazy setup) -User configurable interior soft lighting with puddle-lamps -Engine-Turned waterfall style center console (old hot-rod look) -Hidden stereo with iPod interface _Exterior Style_ -Perlescent Royal Blue Exterior Paint -White Pearl 'Rally Stripes' painted on! --Carbon fiber hood and trunk have thin layer of paint so you can see the carbon weave just below the surface -Chrome Wheels (just like concept) in 21" up front and 22" out back -'Gurney Flap' type spoiler on trunklid -Carbon Fiber splitter on the front, with chrome supports -HID Headlamps with hideaway covers Now we're gettin somewhere!... ~LSx
