Another "reduced power" issue
I got on it a little, maybe spun the tires a little but not fish tailing or anything...
That's when the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the reduced power message came on and very much so....reduced the power to the car. I limped up the hill about 50 feet and pulled over and shut it down. I started it again right away and the same thing happened. It was rocking and rolling and sounded and acted like I had I had blown a motor. I turned her off and I opened the hood but there was no smoke and everything looked fine. I was on my cell looking for a flatbed to come get me and thought I'd try it again. She started right up and purred like a kitten. I drove gingerly through town and gave her hell on the back roads and when I got closer to home I "stopped and started" in all modes trying to duplicate the problem. Everything was fine. Any ideas or opinions? Thanks for reading. |

You haven't changed your throttle body recently have you? I changed mine and it happens from time to time. From what I have been told if you change the throttle position sensor with a new one it is supposed to solve the issue. I haven't tried it yet. I have a Bow White TB by the way.
