Bumped a Curb with my SS... Should I be worried?

Hi all,

As it says I was backing out after dropping my son off today & was careless. As I pulled ahead I caught & put the front left wheel over say a 4" curb. Nothing damaged on the car except a tiny scuff on the black rubber under the air dam. I would only be doing no more than 5 mph if that when it went over it.

Was worried I could have damaged something..... Car seems okay took it up to about 90 mph & no shakes or pulls or anything. Stopped at my GM dealer just before closing not long after that & asked them about it & the guy suggested I might want to throw it on the alignment machine to make sure nothing is bent or moved. Of course driving it now I am really sensitive to what I did so it seems a little off but nothing really tangible so may well be in my head

So my question to you Camaro keeners like me what would you do? Just keep going or get it checked out?

Thx,

Cam

oK thx for that advice I will just to be safe as it doesn't cost a pile to do it anyways. Hehe I wasn't being a cool guy was just a dumba$$ I would think the only thing I could have affected was the alignment the guy said I would know right away if I did anything to the rim..

Cheers

You didn't void your warranty if you find the right dealership. Some will do repairs even after being tuned, but only for small repairs.

yikes!!! ^^^ I'm just an amateur curb bouncer compared to that Comrando. Of course if this was my Chevy 4x4 where I use the curbs as guiderails LOL.

This isn't a warranty issue so that comment is not relevant. An alignment is cheaper than a tire.

I don't see any reason to worry ... If the car drives straight and doesn't vibrate you should be good to go. Don't forget these are Chevy's not Toyota ...

Like a ROCK !!!

No worries pride injuries are cheaper on the wallet. Glad yours was ok. Gotta say been having a blast with this car so far. Still pretty new with only 4500 k or around 2700 miles. Oh well I'll get the bumps out of the way early.

Seems we have similar rides except mine is an auto but is Summit white with the RS package too. Decided I was better off with auto even though I gave up some horses. My son loves driving the car he is 21 now.....

An alignment will end your worries, but I doubt that you did any damage especially since you were only going 5 mph at most.
