I have Zach Bowmans Cam/Head car leaving dropping the clutch on the 2step at 6000 rpm, No throttle, Fuel, or Spark cut. No torque intervention. With using the existing tables available in HPT Beta software. I have data logs and screen shots to back up the claims.....lol

Ryan, Are good launches only possible with the 2 step, at least consistent ones?

Absolutely. Put a stiff wall slick with tubes like a m6 car should have and it will leave great. Always a balance of finding the right amount of wheelspeed.

Not to sound pompous but I don't believe a head/cam car makes enough power to produce the bog. I'll let someone with more tuning experience explain what the variables that cause it are.

The bog has nothing at all to do with the power being made. The bog is strictly a combination of the throttle being told to close and power being removed from the car by pulling timing.

I should have been more clear. It is more prominent with power and seemingly non-problematic until 600+whp. I think the reason it is even an issue was stated a few times. HP tuners didn't have the table available or it was/is locked. I believe it is a torque management table. This is completely specific to the M6 though. The auto guys seem to be able to be tuned to leave hard without nannies kicking in.

Many NA M6 cars are below 600whp, but still have problems launching. Note what Ryan said above about using a 2 step and launching at 6K.

That’s assuming those are the parameters that can prove the claim.

Is that throttle percent at the pedal or throttle blade? are we sure the throttle is staying open? If you can wire an independent tps to view throttle actual would be helpful.

What’s the car 60?

Is it possible that the beta included the tables that were previously inaccessible?
