Timing Suspension Bushings

New guy here I have my 2SS on jackstands as I am installing Full ARH exhaust and MGW shifter , my question is will i need to have my bushings re-timed when im finished or is that just a must do when doing suspension mods ?

Only if you're changing the ride height or you unbolt a suspension component that has a fixed bushing in it.

1" is about as far as you want to go to retain a good ride. I went lower and now i'm looking at coilovers the strut is riding too low and will bottom out too easily. A lot run the bmr 1" lowering springs and like them.

I don't have much experience with lowering springs in general but I had Eibach's on mine before the coilovers, and all I can say for the fifth gen is you'll want linear springs the highest spring rates you can find. With the Eibach's I believe they were progressive (different spring rate throughout compression range), or maybe they just have a lower rate, and I was bottoming all the time, way too often. I believe BMR has one of the higher rates out there.

Also as mentioned, a 1" drop is adequate, if you go too low you change the suspension geometry too much and can end up making the handling worse. With my coilovers I'm somewhere around 1 - 1.25" and I don't get much bump steer or anything unusual.

Most people go for the bmr 1” or the 1.25” lowering springs. Also bmr makes some really good trailing and toe arms for not that much
