Religiously-maintained OpenOffice spreadsheet sez:
- 20.84 MPG over 13,109 miles since I picked up rig in January of 2022 - Best tank MPG: 27.93 (covered 475 miles between fill-ups) - Worst tank MPG: 13.33 (during a rough stretch of wintertime fill-ups in Tennessee in Feb. & March 2023) Have not always used "Top Tier" brands, but IIRC only once did I need to resort to 91 octane.

I had a long drive today. 300 mikes round trip. This was the best I achieved with conservative driving.

What a strange thread But let me play anyway: my best is 32.4 mpg (back when the car was stock-ish) and lifetime average is 18 mpg.

I don't waste my time with the info in the dash... it's never accurate. I track all of my fill-ups with Fuelly through the aCar app. I can access all of my data on the fuelly.com web site.
I'm also able to track service records along with things like work done, costs, and even images of receipts. I typically see a drop in MPG when the winter blend fuel starts making its way into the supply. My truck dropped more than typical last year and I didn't know what to make of it. Then I got a CEL, but it cleared itself. A month later, it returned. An OBD II dongle and Track Addict software helped track some meaningful data to learn that my high pressure fuel pump was leaking. So, yeah... I track it. But it isn't "for fun." Changes in MPG that you can't correlate to something specific can be a sign of a larger issue. |

Dang, and I thought I was anal. Y’all that are spreadsheet tracking every tank of gas is a whole new level of anal. Why?

For me, it started because I needed to account for business versus personal use. Since 2016, I can account for every dollar spent on each of my vehicles. Part of this is the MPG of each tank.

Interesting, I had never really considered mpg. When it drinks 93octane, all about performance and cool factor, and cost $55k with no real practical justification, the mpg was not even a consideration.
Looks like I never reset Trip B... just looked and I'm at 18.9mpg for first 4500-ish miles. Guess I am not driving it hard enough Edit: FWIW my '15 1LS V6 M6 long term average is 25.3mpg. Drive it like I stole it 90 miles/day since 2015

Yes I do. 25.6 mpg average for the last 18K miles. That's 50/50 interstate and highway but also beating on it at about every opportunity - most stoplights/4 way stops, getting on interstate, etc.

My 2017 ZL1 6 speed. Recently, too much city driving and short trips. Maybe a lot of idling with the AC on.
