Anybody have a Lsx 376 b15

Thinking of going with this. Currently have a L99 with a maggie, headers, adm fpcm and zl1 pump. Last fall my cat clogged and had some detonation. Put a camera down the spark plug hole, one of the pistons has a small chunk missing.
Looking to put down 600 to the wheels. Is the extra 100 lbs noticeable? Adm seems to use this engine with good results.

Andy is receiving my b8 in the mail
Tommorow. He said unless your not happy with 650-700 at the wheel there's no reason for the b15. And making me an unbeatable deal at that. I checked and the actually shipping weight of the b8 was only 40lbs more than the ls3. 513lbs shipping vs 474 shipping weight on the ls3. I was at 565 before. Dropped a connecting rod. I'm just doing the stock b8 with a stg3 BTR cam on 8psi looking at 600-625

That weight is way off. That much be just the short block compared to an ls3 long block. LSX block is well over 100lbs heavier. Yes it is noticeable. I wouldn't consider an iron block for less <1000rwhp.

I know what it's supposed to be. I'm just simply quoting the exact shipping weights of both long blocks

I have an iron block. The nose of the car dropped noticeably after the install so I know it's HEAVY

I got the first LSX B-8 ADM package installed by Andy in a 2013 SS. 659 on 93 and 694 on 110. Over the next 3 years, I have 8000 miles on the car 1/8 of a mile at a time. Motor is doing great but on my second clutch.

No need to go to the B-15 unless you are going crazy boost.

Do you want a shortblock or longblock? Either way i would get an aluminum block built from texas speed, LME or one of the other big Ls engine builders. Cheaper, less weight and can be built with better internals than a b8 or b15.

No, Iowa. Did you notice a handling difference with your 1le and iron block?

Don't have it yet. It will be delivered to ADM today. Hopefully have the car back next week. But I'll have a bit more power to. Optimizing it. And doing a Stg3 BTR. Before I was just a bone stock ls3 with the SLP blower on 8psi very simple supposed to be "safe" setup
