5th & 6th Gen nose to tail & side by side
Anyone want some more comparison shots? This is my 2012 2SS next to a 2016 LT/RS. (I put my 18" winter tires & wheels on last weekend.)

And side by side:
The hips are gone! |

I've also got some shots of the 2016 SS on its own, if anyone is interested.

Still like the 5th gen, but it looks dumpy and dated next to the 6th gen.

Besides the missing hips, another thing that really stood out is the door is tiny compared to the 5th gen. It's thinner and much shorter and much lighter.
Oh yea, the trunk is also tiny, about half the size of the 5th gen, I would guess. The trunk width isn't much bigger than the opening, unlike the 5th Gen. It's more of a simple cube. The right flank is filled by the battery. I'm not sure what's in the left, but both are walled off. |

only thing i find better on the 5th is the hood where a supercharger fit in.
looks more aggressive, more muscle. now the 6th is a true sports coupe like our M4 which i see daily in neighbourhood...if i buy a SS that would be a match, hahaha....soundwise i´ll win for sure. But for daily driving the M4 seems still more suitable. |

6th Gen wins in the front view.
The 5th Gen still looks better from all other views IMHO.

6th looks a little sleeker. shorter trunk gives it a little more of a fastback look.

Man, didn't realize how dated the 5th gen looks next to the 6th gen. Good job GM!
