Touch screen display??

My touch screen display has went black on me twice for no reason, and then came back on after a few seconds. Is the screen going bad, do I need to file a warren to cliam? Or is this normal?

Definitely not normal. Go see your Dealer.

It came back on, so what is the dealer really going to do? Mine did the same thing after about a week of driving the car and hasn't done it again.

It's not normal but unless they have diagnostics plugged in and it happens there's nothing they can help you with just seeing it on road and it coming back on won't help them help you. It's a shitty circumstance and one that seems to plague mylink from time to time across all platforms.

Yep, they had to do it to mine when I bought it. Nav wasn't working & screen went black intermittently.

It can help, issues like you're describing can be caused by a software bug/glitch. What the dealership needs to do is document that there's an issue, try to correct it with a software update, if that fails to resolve the issue the next step would be to replace hardware to see if that resolves the issue.

There is a TSB for the radio going blank. bring it back to the dealer to have them reprogram with the new update.

The mylink unit just doesn't respond the touch! Yeah it works (music and hard buttons) but it doesn't respond and the dealership allready re-program it and it did the same thing:(. Is this happend to anybody here?

Mine does the same thing when it's below 50 degrees after it warms up it quits. I had the the update also but in that case the radio screen quit all together and froze up. Now it just makes clicking noise and changes channels by itself. Its almost like the touch screen is shrinking when it's cold that's the best way I can describe it

This is very frustrating that we pay so much money and to have to keep having a brand new car brought in and left in the service department.

I had taken mine in for the first oil change and to get the issue of the fading black painted rim replaced only to have my car left there because they it ended up having the infotainment center go black and, for my husband, playing the same station non stop even after he got out of the car. They finally installed everything from scratch wiping the system and thought it was fixed. My husband got in, drove it around the lot, and it started up again. He drove and hour to go pick up the car only to leave it again. What's sad is it's not just Camaro. My brother-in-law's Cruze has done it and I read other GM vehicles have as well. For several years on top of this. I mean really, GM???

You guys have had plenty of time to figure something out.

Friday is my birthday and it looks like I won't even get to drive my car then. Just not happy right now.

My touchscreen has stopped responding to touch below 65 degrees outside, and not only that but it also press buttons on the touchscreen display on its own. I had to speak French just to turn on the XM radio the other day! My screen has also gone completely black and kept me from using the backup camera at one point.

Mine just went black on my 2017 SS Fifty today. No matter what I've tried it does not come back on. I have to take it to the dealer this week.
