Lower pulley swap question
Does anyone know if you have to remove the radiator or the ac lines to do a lower pulley swap on a 2017 A10. Thanks for the help

Thanks for the info. I did not know that the AC lines had to be removed. Just wanted to confirm I was not being told something that was not true. Thanks for the info!!!!

Is there an install guide to follow somewhere? With the AC lines having to come off does that mean we need to get a recharge of the new $500+ refrigerant?

a shop should be able to evacuate the Freon and replace your system with your own Freon, leaving you paying only for labor.

I did mine without messing with the ac lines.

Pulled fan. Not a hard job at all.

It can easily be done by pulling the fan and radiator. The A/C line DO NOT have to be touched.
FYI the crankshaft dampener bolt is a SINGLE USE bolt. You will need to have a GM replacement on hand when changing the dampener. I had to slightly torch heat the factory bolt to get it to break loose. |

Do you guys have manual cars or the A10? I’ve done cam swaps on LS motors, so I know the drill with the crank bolt and press fit pulley. But all the cars I’ve done have been M6 cars. I’m assuming I’ll have to remove the starter and get a flexplate locking tool to do the crank pulley on my A10 car.
Was there room to get an impact gun in there with just the fan removed? |

Yea if somebody could explain the whole process for an A10 that'd be appreciated. I do all my own work but haven't touched a 6th gen yet and can't find any guides on it.

Fair warning; the factory 6th gen ZL1 bolt doesn't fit with ATI lower, at least with the 15%. I fitted my 15% with an ARP bolt from a c7 z06 innovators west kit, apparently a LS7 or 5th gen camaro bolt will fit as well!

Oh well that's cool right after a replacement crank bolt arrived yesterday. Any other issues?
