Makes sense, I didn't put the guards on until 12k miles; I was the second owner.

Help me out with installing the rears, how do you use the plastic L clips and stuff. Thx

Did you get the stealth or the ZL1 style, mine are the stealth. When I looked at the rear ZL1 style ones, the didn't look like the would not protect as well as the stealth, IMO, they looked more cosmetic.

There are no L-brackets for the rear, there should be two long screws & two spacers (plastic tubes) for each side. You remove the two (short) screws from inside the wheel well that line up with two holes in the splash guard. Run the long screws through the holes on the splash gaurd, slip on the spacers & then screw in where you removed the short screws. You may need to trim the spacers to get the fit right.

I actually went and found some plastic tubing in the sprinkler department at Ace that was more rigid then the spacers provided & made my own.

Definitely looking forward to these. None of you all have white cars. lol. Take your issues and multiply them by 5 lol. I can clean my car show ready, and even with low dust brakes when I hit the brakes...I cry. lol

our rear rock guards on the 10/13 model are installed with blocks mounted to the inside of the fender and you then screw the rock guards to the blocks.
