In all seriousness, GM does release some information to dealers advance of the public, but that information is usually misinterpreted by idiots who don't know engine designations or specifications.

A TTV6 option makes no sense.

Why?

Because it'd cost more than a V8 with less power?

Obviously, GM doesn't live by installing the TTV6 in low-volume Cadillacs alone. Economies of scale could allow the TTV6 to make sense as an option on the Camaro. We'll see.

I doubt it's any cheaper than the LT1 and doesn't make as much power, torque or get as good fuel mileage.

So probably what he means is it'll have the LGX and LT1.
Agree!

don't believe a thing you read about the next gen Camaro -- as history has proven time and time again:

WE
DO
NOT
TALK
ABOUT
FUTURE
PRODUCT
PLANS

PERIOD

Anyone in GM giving out information will not only be fired - but it could be they'd be charged with Industrial Espionage.

So.................................

the 109 wheelbase is the same as the Cadillac ATS... same platform confirmed for Gen6 Camaro. so not surprising

what is an aluminum clip? is that the subframe? bodywork? both? I think lots of cars use aluminum subframes... aluminum body panels aren't really new. Isn't the current Camaro hood and trunk aluminum? My Maxx rear hatch is aluminum.

also seems like a no brainer about the engine choices as these are the current or future Corvette and Cadillac engines being used or coming soon.

GM will be pushing for higher fuel mileage due to CAFE. But I'm rather sad to see the LS3 go away... they'll probably move these more towards crate engines.

The Camaro does have an aluminum hood, but the trunk lid is still steel. This was confirmed previously.
