If they bring back Rally Green with some meaningful HP increase to the ZLE, I might upgrade. If not, there's no reason to bother.

Sixth gens look great in yellow.
Having said that I don't know why they chose yellow. Camaro has already had that highlighter yellow as well. I guess they ordered too much yellow paint for the C8. Better than another shade of grey or boomer maroon. |

A NA 427 that puts out 600hp and I would have to get one.

GM originally stated that only 750 ZLE's would be built for the 2018 model year.
The end result was that almost twice as many were assembled and delivered. If the over/under on the 2000 limited edition build for the outgoing Camaro is set at 4000... I'm all in, on the over. FWIW, every ZLE build year is less than 2000. Likely, ZL1 and SS 1LE build count are close to that as well. All are more exclusive than a 4000 build limited edition outgoing Camaro. Perhaps(?), Chevy is just trying to dump the rest of the Alpha platforms that are already fabricated. Cadillac has already moved on with the Alpha II and an enhanced LT4. I get it, an 18 HP increase would be too costly to establish emissions numbers for Camaro. Consider a LT5 ZL1+, or for that matter a LT6 Z/28 (already in play for C8 Z06). How could Ford or DCA compete with that? What a great swansong for 6th Gen and LT5 than to end up in a elite level Camaro. LT5 is obviously not a fit for C8. GM recently chose to discontinue the most powerful motor that they have ever built for a production car. Perhaps because only a C8 ZR1 or Zora level C8 would be the only C8 that could compete with that LT5 Camaro. C8 Z06 would possibly be a fixture in the rear view mirror of a LT5 ZLE. GT500, not even close on non technical tracks (that fat girl is completely outclassed by LT4 Alpha ZLE on a technical circuit). The straight line guys would love the LT5 as well. I know, LT7 is on the way and will replace the power of LT5...but the jigs and forms were already in place for LT5. That LT5 in a Camaro would have totally outclassed Ford and Chrysler's offerings, especially on an Alpha II. That car would have raised the consumers eyebrows and likely the Camaro sales numbers for Chevrolet. Let's face the facts, LT5 was already in the parts bin and utilizes same block as LT4/LT1. Yea, I know, a little taller. IMO, the DI/PI combination alone, is a worthy investment for anyone holding on to their end of an era ICE high performance dinosaur. I digress. Perhaps, the ability for GM to think outside of the EV box is no longer present. Once again, I get it, enthusiasts don't buy EV's, SUV's or (for the most part) pick up trucks. With out saying, obviously Corvette is the well deserved and big selling halo. Yet the day is coming where an ICE Vette will also meet the demise of our beloved Camaro. Chevy loyalty is obviously to the (once) almighty dollar, as all for profit corporations should be. The performance enthusiast which has driven the automotive industry for over 80 years, has taken a back seat to the transportation appliance utilizer. Tis a sad day indeed, my Camaro/Chevrolet Performance brethren.
