They are both tuned with performance shifting and this thing will be an awesome upgrade over the A8. |

There is no good comparison for the A10 in the SS, the only way we are going to know how well it performs is by driving it and testing it.

Yes it will be quicker , better question would be by how much .
My Guess SS/A10 . 0-60 3.6 sec . 0 - 100 7.5 sec . Quarter mile 11.4 @ 118 |

The shift speed of both transmissions is insane. I’d like to know if the ss a10 transmission paddles are more responsive, and also if it upshits in performance mode when you let off the gas. That drives me nuts in my ss. HOLD THE GEAR DAMNIT.

Nope, you basically quoted a ZL1, my guess is maybe it looses .1 second on what it is now, so like 3.9ish to 60. I would assume it will be a bit quicker than the A8 was in a quarter, again only by a hair. But as you say, time will tell.

Some of the A8 guys have gotten down into the 3.9 range stock. I'm guessing we'll maybe, MAYBE see 3.8. But really, it's probably only improved fuel economy.

Anyone who doesn't believe that the A10 will be leaps and bounds better than the A8, doesn't understand gear spread and torque multiplication.
Yes, there will be more gears shifted but less gear drop and no hideous 4-5 drop off that the A8 suffers from currently. It's no different than the Close ratio MN12 that the GTO, C5Z and the Z51 package cars dealt with. Great 1-3 acceleration but the drop from 3-4 was terrible and cost performance. |

It’s not the same as the ZL1 A10, so you really can’t compare. I wonder why they didn’t put in the exact same model A10 from the ZL1. Cost? PCM?
