Greetings,

Looking to buy some MPSS Tires from Discount Tire....not sure if its worth to get "Certificate for Refund or Replacement"....its an extra $140 (approx) for all four tires....

has anybody bought this in their past? appreciate your thoughts.

That's a good price, think of it this way, if you have to replace one tire, it saves you money. I have the same warranty through Discount. I got a nail in my tire less than 2000 miles in so I bought the warranty then had it replaced a few weeks later. Then a different tire kept slowly losing air pressure so they replaced it. This was about 15k miles in so I got 2 new tires in less than 3 months. I would say it's worth it!

I bet if they run out of the MPSS if you need replacement, you get the newer model by default. ;-)

I ALWAYS buy the certs. If you pick up a nail in the sidewall they will replace the tire with a new one for $ 25.....

I am way ahead on this. Discount bought me 2 new Michelins for 50$ over the last 4 years....

I'd get at least 2 certificates. On my last car I had DWS 06's and when I went in for a rotation they noticed one bulging and replaced it for $25 fee. That covered that price of the certificates.

We've bought them before and I am a fan. That said, if they do the paperwork correctly, the tire serial number is on each cert. so if you want them all covered, you have to buy all four.
