Cracked OEM front splitter

Well, I f-d up and cracked the front splitter that came with the dealer-installed OEM ground effects kit.

I’m going to try and have a body shop I trust repair it. But if they can’t, any suggestions on where I might be able to buy just the OEM front splitter, preferably pre-painted in Mosaic Black Metallic?

Dont be... they are relatively VERY brittle. Theres a post in thr 1LE forum about em.

I busted a hole in mine headed to the track last year when a cat tried to be a grille ornament. Just put the pieces back on it and put t-rex tape over it with an aluminum piece covering it. Then more t-rex tape...

I called Wildhammer to to confirm that the GM front splitter they had was an exact match to the one in the OEM Ground Effects kit. Owner called me back in less in a couple of minutes, answered all my questions, confirmed he had one in MBM in stock.

Ordered and on the way.

Glad you went that route, doing that epoxy/paint on a relatively (I say that) cheap front splitter that you can take off and put back on yourself (I've done it once already). was going to say, lets just do it right. Glad you went with Wildhammer, that's who I go through for pretty much everything.

Oneredry: Yeah, the more I thought about it, the less I wanted to do a paint and glue repair on a car that only 3 months old...

I was thinking about both the MBM splitters that Wildhammer said they had in stock, just in case. But instead I bought a Curb Alert set up with the extra warning LED.

In the meantime, I went over the edges of the break/crack with a black Sharpie, so it’s a lot less noticeable.

And Wildhammer will be top of my list for parts and such going forward.

RuffryderJ: Not sure what you mean... The GM factory splitter, pre-painted in factory color of your choice, is $565.00. (Wildhammer did not charge tax or additional shipping.)

If your asking how much I would sell my cracked Mosaic Black Metallic splitter once it’s off the car, I would sell it for $100.00, plus cost of shipping. If this is what you meant, PM me and I’ll send you more pics of the damage, as well as pics of some other scrapes on the bottom that I sprayed over with some AC Delco “Meet Kettle Black” paint.
