There is a beautiful set of ZL1 brakes on eBay for 2300 right now. unfortunately I just grabbed 1le tires, those rims, a Corsa exhaust, and paid 6mo insurance in advanced so theyre a no go for me. theres 3 sets left tho

About a zero chance of a dealer bedding in brakes bro
So maybe that was it.

Fronts, new, 3 sets left https://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-Chevy-...97.m4902.l9144

There's also a few SS to SS 1le 6 pot upgrade kit for 2300, which is a similar setup

Sure seems this way to me. Hope you didnt shock them too much If subsequent sessions were no issues with pad fade, then they should be ok.

Krops any chance the next time you have your calipers off you can take pics and thickness measurements of the caliper spacer from the ZZP kit? Their kit actually uses the 5th gen ZL1/CTSV brake rotors (as well as calipers) which are a different hat offset than the 6th gen 1LE setup so that's why they include the spacer.

I tried emailing ZZP to buy just the spacers, because those rotors can be bought cheaper than the 6th gen rotors, but they fed me some BS that it won't work because they are different rotors and I would have to buy the whole kit. There are also the much cheaper 1 piece rotor options for those brakes, that i would like to buy and run for all non-competition events. Can save some major scratch there!

I'm sure I can just buy the rotors and install them then measure and make my own spacer, but just thought I'd ask you since you have the kit.

FYI the fastest Camaro I've ever seen on the track only had the standard SS 4 piston brakes, but it was a strictly TT car that probably wouldn't do more than 3 hot laps at a time.

Negative, mine came with the 6 pistons and mag ride. That's why I get confused and "arguementative" sometimes when you guys are saying how superior the 1LE is and I say it's mostly tires. I really want to know how different the SS mag ride is than the SS1LE mag ride and I'd like to know if the ediff would buy me any time? Otherwise all I really envy are the Recaros.

Remember the Kaomaro I told you about before when Tom O'Gorman owned it? Yeah it only has the 4 piston brakes. It's obviously him being a pro driver that is the main factor here, but I just wanted to point it out that the 4 pistons aren't junk or incapable.

TomO should be at the top of the track times list for Pitt Race (1:48.907) and he ran that car faster (2:11.107) than he ran the 1 Lap 1LE at NCM this year which is shown as the top time. That 1 Lap 1LE is ridiculous too!

Probably every other track he ran that car at he would top our list too!
