2018 Camaro 2SS MyLink screen black
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a Used 2018 Camaro 2SS and it seems the MyLink screen is not working. It is completely black while the car is on, and when the car is in reverse, the screen turns blue but no camera. One of the weird things I’ve noticed as well is that if I have my iPhone charging, you can actually see the CarPlay faintly on the screen but no of the controls work. When you shift from reverse to drive, the screen blips to full color and brightness for 1 second, then goes back to black. I’m at a loss to what this could be, I’ve tried pulling fuses, making sure all the plugs were clicked into place, turning up the brightness, etc. Please let me know if anyone has any insight on what I should do next! Thanks |

Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 15-20 mins. Reconnect and give it a shot.

I tried that, but still the same problem. I even took off the working screen from my dads 2018 SS and connected it to mine, and it didn’t work - so atleast I know it’s not the screen....

Check the wires going into the bose amp in the trunk. Disconnect them all, then plug them back in. Leave them unplugged for a few minutes. Something similar happened to my 2016 when i was wiring in my subs.

Thank you all for the comments, I’ve found the issue:
It looks like the previous owner wanted to make his car look more damaged than it actually is (I bought from copart) and unplugged the wire harness underneath the glove box, as well as the wire harness inside the rear driver side wheel well. If anyone has this symptoms, check these harnesses/plugs first! |
