I heard Carvana paid good money, that was FAH!!!

Ya'll should try it some time, especially if you have a low mileage 2020 1SS 1LE. Laughable!!!!

Same situation for me. 2016 Mustang GT with 85,000 miles, Carvana offered me $12,3xx but Vroom gave me a very competitive offer. More competitive than Auto Nation’s. I’ve read of others who have received very competitive offers from Carvana so it doesn’t hurt to request an offer.

First-year depreciation is brutal on our cars. Several friends have gotten decent prices at CarMax. A few got their best price selling to local dealerships (not a trade-in).

Carvana wouldn’t make an offer on my ZLE. “Stumped our algorithm“. I tried TrueCar, and got what I thought was a fair offer. I went to the dealer that made the offer via TrueCar and they would only offer $4K less with no explanation of the difference. No issues noted with the car. I still have it...

Yeah, what does one think when trying to get rid of a newer (current year even) Camaro?? Chevy in general does not hold their value the first few years, you're not going to immediately flip it and come out ahead . The Carvana value is quite good for my car.

I encourage some research on the subject. Kbb for my 20 1ss 1le right now 10k miles is 40-43k. I bought it for 43. Of course this depends on area and covid helped with the price. I can sell it and put 9k in my pocket now. But I won't lol

You should be selling your car out right not a trade in. Save ya a few K anyhow.

They are a joke. Trust me on a 2020 1SS 1Le. Dealers are selling these for $40-42k used and they aren’t making $14000 on them.

They actually offered me more than dealer on my 17 frontier with 24k mi. Tax credit is keeping me with the dealer.

Don't need to. I know Chevy's don't hold value, in general. You can buy a NEW 2021 1SS LE with barely trying for 43K right now. You're not going to get 40K-43K for trade. KBB may throw you a bone for private party, sure, getting the cash in your hand is another story. People tend to forget it is not solely the book value of things that determines price, it is what people are willing to pay.

And was 43K your OTD price or was that sale? Either way, the 9K in your pocket is not profit (or money "ahead"). For that alone, I'm uncertain why I bothered replying to this.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay $43K for a new 1SS 1LE never mind a used one.
