Can anyone help me determine if my 17 ZL1 convertible has the required "documented factory rollover protection system" that would allow for my convertible to run in an event without an aftermarket rollbar? I'm optimistically asking because I'm pretty sure there is no such documentation in my owners manual.

Unfortunately, it does not.

It's been posted that it was an error here. I asked my dealer about it and they said the level can't be checked (no dipstick). There is an overflow tube that runs when full.

Knowing how the tranny is filled from watching a video I did question the “track level” in the supplement but hey, what do I know ! Thanks for the info, happy to hear his, I apparently missed that thread in the forum.

I hope to be able to make it one of these events this year. I am afraid I might like it though, and go Broke trying to make them all..

Was at CMS with TNIA last year. They were working on the Roval for the upcoming NASCAR series. They were working on a bus stop as part of the track, adjacent to the pits, something similar to Watkins Glen. Track is extremely bumpy on the elevated portion, I have a new appreciation for the NASCAR guys that go 200+ on it. But nevertheless had a great time.

For those in VA and NC, TNIA will be at VIR for the first time. If you have never been on that track, I would highly recommend it. If they do the full course, got two long straights, should be able to hit 150+ easily. It is a great track!

I would have to caveat this with if you are a fairly novice track driver I wouldn't recommend TNiA for your first event at VIR. I'm VERY glad my first time there was with an instructor in the car, and if you weren't aware there are no instructors in Novice-Intermediate at TNiA.

Do you have to be a member of SCAA to do the TNiA?

Additionally, you can just show up to the event for free and drive the tracks during parade laps (low speed). It's a good way to check things out before you commit to driving the track at speed.
