You can carry a few more mph of minimum apex speed through turn 5 and you can make the track a bit wider if you put the passenger side tires up on that right apex curb (maybe not advisable if there are puddles near the curb). For turn 6 you can carry about 10mph more speed through there. You can keep full throttle all of the way through turn 7 but you may nearly run out of track at the track out point. For turn 8 I would highly recommend keeping some maintenance throttle applied all of the way through instead of coasting because if you get oversteer at 110mph while coasting you may end up doing something like this or worse:

You beat me by about 8mph through turn 13 so I need to work on that! And I see PTM kicked in on the exit of turn 14 for you in the same spot where I almost spun even though you were in 3rd gear and I was in 2nd. I think 2nd may have helped me exit turn 16 slightly faster but you were also stuck behind another car there so maybe not and I know of another SS 1LE owner who uses 3rd there and has similar lap times to mine. And I had a few slides towards the wall there on a dry track so 2nd probably would have been a bad idea for you anyways with the some of the puddles I saw in your video. Also the car has no lift shift built in when you're in track mode which I personally like to use for the 3 to 4 shift (but not as often for the 2 to 3 shift) which probably improves lap times slightly but it takes practice to keep yourself from lifting slightly by instinct and causing the car to jerk and hit rev limiter momentarily instead of activating no lift shift.

If you want to send me a private message, I can send you my PDR file of the video below for lap comparison in Cosworth toolbox. I'm planning to do my second NOLA event in this car soon with NASA on 12/5-6! Looking forward to trying to string together a lap with less mistakes this year.

Thanks! Yeah this lap was my fastest, but still not where I know I can be. I messed up 3 and plain chickened out on 5 through 8. Like I said, it was my first time out at NOLA as well so learning the track and the car at higher than 2nd gear was work.

I loved the layout honestly. It felt like every corner tested your courage or your patience. It's 8 hours away from me, so it won't be a regular thing, but hopefully a year event!

Ive found that No lift shift isn't quite as fast as a good regular shift. It's close, and easier, but every lap I used NLS I didn't touch 140 on the straight, and using regular shifting technique I hit 140-142 every time.

This whole weekend was wet. Never rained during the day, but never dried fully from the overnight rain. I'm a PTM full off guy at autocross so I was really wanting to at least go PTM race but it never felt dry enough for me to test it out.

Definitely a challenge to get clean runs out there sometimes. Late afternoon when everyone starts leaving is best.

This driver is happy with anything below 1:50 right now. I need more time out there before seeing times like you're getting.

Hope to see you out there sometime. Sub 1:50 is quick in anything out there. My 18yro son bought a turbo 4 1le and did his first HPDE that weekend. That car is an amazing handler as well... made him look much more experienced than he really is running 1:57s and passing most people in green group. These 1LEs are no joke in any trim.

I have huge respect for the Turbo 1LE after riding shotgun with and instructor at NCM. They had to lift the hood and prove to me it was a 4 cylinder.

I then did lead follow with the ZL1 and good thing I had some straights to catch up. Your son will become a great driver with that car.

Can I get some more info on this app? Ideal/Optimal/Projected times do not count. We need something with a hard lap time please.

The app is called gps lap timer. App saved only this time from entire sesion. Here is another session. Ive checked this witch my gopro video and its accurate. Fastest I've went that day was 1.05.80 but the app didnt save that session either.
