Have pictures of your install? Once life gets back to normal I'm looking to have Alp jammers installed.

Here's my setup, have had it for over 2 years now. It has saved me on 3 or 4 occasions, enough to pay for itself. I've been surprised that there is very little laser action out there. Mostly radar Ka band. I have three detectors in front and two in back.

I bought an Escort Solo in 1990 or 1991 while in the Navy. It saved my butt so many times I can't count, and I still got 3 or 4 tickets for just stupidity. Always need a lead car. It passed away in 2004 and left me heartbroken. I haven't bought one since, the choices are overwhelming. I have had one ticket since 1995 and it was about a year and a half ago. 74/55. Paid an attorney in that town, cost me about $400 total and it was like nothing happened. Again, I was driving by myself down a steep hill in the woods near Hillsville VA. I never even saw him as he was sitting in a dark green Ford Explorer. He asked me "Didn't you see me?" Well duh officer.

I used Escort branded detectors for years up until about 12 years ago when I parked the Firehawk and started daily driving the Tahoe instead. I just got tired of the chatter and I guess I got old and just lost the lead foot. The 9500 in my wife's truck still irritates me when I drive it.

That said, things change and I bought a new R7 today for the Camaro. I figure that I should probably load WAZE on the head unit while I am at it. Even if only as a reminder to watch my speed because somehow, even with the HUD, I get carried away.

I always use my radar/laser detector in my Camaro. I had a Passport radar detector/laser shifter in my GTRs over the past 7 years but I haven't encountered a laser gun in years now. I assume a court has questioned them.

Yeah, no more laser it seems like...

Also, in CO you can just turn of X and K band, they all use Ka.

I have noticed CO State Patrols doing instant-on Ka while cruising on I-70, this can be difficult to catch in time to slow down! Earlier this summer I followed two of them from Vail to Copper on 70, they only turn on radar when they spot someone they want to clock.
