ambient temp sensor
Anybody know where this is located on our cars? Mine seems to get stuck now and again, perhaps some heat soak? Just noticed it recently.

its in the front grill area somewhere. I don't have the problem so I haven't looked for the ambient air, but I have replaced it on a previous Z4 I used to own.'. there's a maf air & temp and a "cold" side intake (intake pipe after the IC) and a manifold air temp sensor somewhere which is the one that drops on pulls that cool the intake. I think there is one that is based on turbo air, but there is no sensor in the actual hot side tube. Will keep looking since I am curious too. I know I have logged 4 or 5 different AITs but 2 of them are usually pretty close. For my purposes, and I know it dosn't answer your question, I watch the MAT temp drop during WM injection, and its pretty effective.
