I think the lack of a usable back seat, poor visibility, people moving from cars to trucks and cross overs, and an overall declining car culture are hurting it. What’s surprising is Dodge has the oldest body style and continues to increase its sales. Since production was stopped for a few years while Mustang continued to carry the muscle car flame it shows GM is missing the mark on something.

Personally , the car kicks the shit out of that car in all directions. Did loads of research on this car before pulling the trigger and would recommend to anyone who wants a DD sports car.
I don't think that there is any question that the Camaro is an amazing machine. The problem is the that the only people that know this are the people that already own them. GM sucks dog $h!t at marketing.

Chevy, of they want to avoid media buys, can simply create for online. Create something.

Chevy does have the worst media out there and it's not even a race. Point example: I live in Houston. Why do I need to see a truck commercial of a truck plowing through snow? Or a family sedan going off road into the forest?

Give me some commercials of Zl1's and Z06's roll racing on the street, running from the cops. That's what I want to see.

That's another sore spot, why do a fifty edition or the hot wheels edition? cosmetic bullshit, who f--in cares. Make a less content, lower weight, higher horse, more rear gear, 10 speed auto "bullitt" killer

The reason the Camaro has not been as firestorm successful is because it's less practical and more expensive...that's it. All the advertising in the world isn't going to do anything when a person walks onto a Chevy lot, sees a Camaro SS with a sticker of $44,000, and then they get in and find the shortcomings of the car to be very apparent.
This, plus not looking much different than the previous gen then you have the recipe of stagnate sales. It's really not that hard to figure out.

Camaro is fine and will be fine. It’s not going anywhere. Best performance bargain out there in the modern muscle car segment. It looks fantastic and performs on par with cars well out of its price range.

I hope the Camaro stays, but I have a feeling the butt-ugly styling of the 2019+ will hurt sales even further...the refresh is a hideous flaw on GM's otherwise great Camaro platform. I don't think many people like the refresh and I'm pretty sure GM will feel the hurt to come because of it, I really do.

If they don't kill it off, and I doubt they will, maybe they'll take this pounding they're about to get and turn that around come out with an absolutely stunning 7th Gen Camaro. Learn from your failures GM.

Amen. I'm really, really, excited to find out what goodies the Alpha 2 platform will bring.

Those numbers are in line with what I've been saying an entry level V8 Camaro should cost in today's dollars, if they want to sell more. I understand a lot of factors are in play, but the middle class can only afford so much, especially for a vehicle with a worthless back seat.

How many more 1SS's would sell at $25,600 and SS 1LE's at $31,500? You could still have the ZL1 priced way up there. Again, I understand there are a lot of forces at play when building and therefore raising GM's cost to build modern cars, too. But the average person can still only afford so much. Especially for a vehicle that is essentially a toy.
My ‘87 M5 IROC-Z stickered for close to 20k which is well over 40k at today’s dollar. The difference back then were the build options weren’t as limited as they are now. It was marginally more practical from a luggage space perspective but the rear seat still sucked. I stuffed friends back there but I had to ram my knees into the dash to drive. And the quality of the product now is infinitely better at every metric.

What is $10,600 in 2018 dollars?
Mine was $15,500 - checked every box.

The 1le is already a bullitt killer from what I'm seeing with the GT350. The bullit, like the GT350 are both overpriced and offer little performance in return. Ford, despite their sales, has set the benchmark pretty low. Yeah the bullit is not out yet, but we can pretty much expect the same lackluster performance of the Gt350.

GM loves their sticker packages. Performance packages? Not so much. Even better if they can just make everything a parts bin special.
