Yeah, you could add deadener and fabric to the door interiors, floor and roof, but with so much glass, plastic and metal (and sc, tc, engine and outside noise/sounds) a driveable vehicle will never be acoustically even a C-.

The ZL1 doesn’t even have a CD player, let alone a DVD player so not sure where you deciphered that. I mentioned that in the CTSV build

The estimated cost for the OP’s system that we mentioned was the customer cost, because most of the cost for a customer will be labor. However, Audiophile/competition grade equipment in a vehicle can still run pretty high (>$15k for equipment alone , especially in a competition vehicle... see any of Scott Bewulda’s builds). If you have to ask, Scott Bewulda holds the highest combination score of any vehicle of any IASCA competition in history. The equipment for that vehicle was over $40k alone

As for sound in a vehicle, as many of us have mentioned, you can only get so much SQ in a vehicle , even with the proper sound deadening. The acoustics in a vehicle are horrible. Even when using a DSP with DTA to center your sound stage on the driver (which I do) it will never be perfect. Most of us try to maximize the possibilities and minimize the imperfections
I stand corrected, a DVD in a CTS-V is ridiculous.

When I said I have been an high end audiophile most of my life and you insulted me like you didn't believe me and you don't know me, I just figured you had more money than brains. Looks like I am correct, since you insulted me again.

😂 and where do you get your FLAC files for your car audio again?

The explanations are simple, you simply seem to lack the ability to either read or comprehend the responses. You mentioned DVD audio in the ZL1, I never mentioned that, hence your apparent inability to read. You say DVD in a CTS-V is ridiculous, nothing wrong with having that opinion, but if that opinion was based on the assumption that I added a DVD player, then once again, you were wrong. It comes stock on the vehicle, we simply maximized it’s use.

Good day to you! Please work on your reading and comprehension skills before you engage in future discussions.

My response to the DVD was not even to your post, just in general, but yet you sound like a cry baby when you think you are getting criticized when I was not even talking about you. Grow up.

You must be dense, maybe too many degrees clogging your head. But as I said, I did not reply to your post, look it up, I just posted in general and it happened to be after your post. So you took it upon yourself that I was talking about/to you, but then you must always think everything is about you.

If I am talking to you directly, you will know it, just as I am now. If I don't reply to someone directly, then it is just in general. You know, that is how posting works. You just a little slow, that's all.

Yeah, it's pretty over the top.

Not discounting the op's work, or the owner's desire to have that system, but for the same price I could get a stellar sound system and 1200 dependable rwhp.

"you are" just a little slow... I think that's what you meant to say.

Given that I am the only person that even mentioned a DVD player, and given that a DVD player doesn't come in the ZL1 (which we all know since we own the car), I think it's pretty clear that you were responding to the ONLY PERSON that mentioned DVD player.

now remember "you are" pretty slow is the correct grammar for that sentence. If you use incorrect grammar when insulting someone, it kind of makes you look a little... slow

I think the owner is a builder, and clearly an audiophile who does competition. So the labor is free. (Time is invaluable, I know) either way I agree, it's a crazy build. Beyond what 99.99% of car owners would ever do, but that's what makes it audio porn
