A fully loaded entry level v8 powered Mustang should not be 60k. I would also like to know how Ford charges 6700 for a performance pack but you then have to add the recaros and active exhaust for another 2875. Also it’s completely asinine that ford doesn’t give us heated and cooled recaros. I’m debating what to get next year, used gt350, used zl1, used SS 1le and I hate that I have to find a gt350 that has the recaro option (versus being standard on the other 2) and hate that they aren’t heated and cooled.

I suppose to be fair an "entry level" GT, aka the base trim, is just over $53k when kitted out with the A10, the 301A "High" Package, GT PP, MagneRide, and Active exhaust. Forgo the 301A and it's just under $51k, and nix the A10 for the M6 and it's just over $49k. I was also in the market for a used GT350 right before the used car market decided to go insane. So now it's a "wait and see" thing for the market to "normalize" and then see if one pops up that's not romped out and is for sale at a decent price.

Even after the price release there are people on the mustang7g forum that consider camaro pricing too high for its performance. I am beyond shocked at this point. People are looking to spend 80K on a Dark Horse but camaro is too expensive for what it is?

Look at just about every model year over year they are up. Especially through the timewarp

In late 2021 and into early 2022 I was really trying to find info on the 7th gen mustang. The more I read, the more I realised it would be a re-skinned S650 mustang, so I ordered the a 2022 1LE Camaro. Then with the constraint issues and possibility of not getting it, I ordered a base 2022 GT Mustang in Eruption green, and I was getting it for invoice less 4% (~34k + tax).
In the end, both cars were delivered to their respective dealers in June 2022 (after being told by the dealer that the Camaro allocation was lost / dropped in April 2022), so I ended up going with the Camaro for MSRP less $800 which at the time was fair, and let the Mustang GT go (I am sure they ended up selling it shortly after for much more than we agreed on). There is no way I am spending 50-60k on a Mustang GT. I do like the lower belt line, the increase in space and visibility vs the Camaro, but bang for the buck my 1LE cannot be beat.

Had one dude trying to convince me the Mustang Mach 1 was the better car because it has a 0.4 second faster lap time on a specific track but over 11k higher MSRP than the 1LE that ran it, with no information on the drivers or conditions of the cars. They are just grasping at straws at this point trying to justify getting ripped off.

I think it’s just difficult for Ford to compete dollar for dollar compared to GM. The bailout of GM (kept only the good of old GM and years of waved Fed Taxes) put them in a far better position and a decade later it shows in average profit per vehicle. Instead of a loan, I bet if Ford knew what they do now, they would have gone full bailout route too.

Heh, it was a fifty-fifty guess on my part, but my response went primarily to paradigm anyway .

It may not be perfect on the forums, but it is definitely better than facebook groups. Seems the little extra registration process and platform of the forums helps in reducing the completely brain dead folks from fb.

lol I have a 2015 Mustang GT I bought new and I still think the SS 1LE is a vastly superior car. I liked it far more than the GT350 too
