LT1 guys
I did a search and didn't find anything useful, thought I'd ask here, is anyone running a catch can on their LT1? If so what brand? and why did you choose it?
Thanks, |

UPR
My preference was UPR. Build quality is good, OEM connections and look. I didn’t want worn gear style hose clamps.

FYI, the search function on these sites leave a lot to be desired. A good trick is to use google search to search a specific domain. If you want to search for catch cans in camaro 6. enter something like this in google search.
"catch cans site:camaro6.com" by adding "site:" at the end it searches pages only within that websites domain.

I'm planning on purchasing the UPR can, although haven't done it yet. For the same reasons mentioned. It looks factory, and I've heard good things. I feel the same way about those worm gear clamps. So glad the 6th gen doesn't use em and no way I'm gonna put em in there!

Elite Engineering dual output can. I mounted it behind the radiator and in front of the engine. It works UNBELIEVABLY, it's so easily accessible that I empty it every week or two. What comes out of it is chocolate milky, sludgy C R A P that I couldn't imagine recirculating back into the motor. This is most often only coated on the bottom of the can, in winter, I'd get a lot of condensation, maybe 1/2 inch or so on top of the sludge.

I've been using the same can for several cars (when I sell I pull the can and put it on the next car)... It has been on: (2) C5 Z06's C7 Stingray C6 Grand Sport 6th Gen SS 1LE C7 Z51 Stingray C7 Grand Sport I did not put it on the LT4 cars, just too lazy to buy the parts or go through the install haha. GREAT system, I've got a lot of bad oil out of several engines with that can.
