Daily driving ZLE on stock GYEF13R

I am running through a set of tires and I don't even have 5K miles on the car. My stock set has not seen track action, only spirited driving and high MPH runs. How many miles are you guys getting from these tires?

I'm at 3200, I might get 5k out of them, love em' though, it's like having Gorilla Glue tires.

I see they have a G and a GR now?

XPEL or a competitor is a must with these tires.

Switching to PS4S for my street tires was the best decision I made. I love my GY 3Rs on the track but hate them on the street. My PS4S tires are a little smaller, normal ZL1 size, and I have way more traction around town.

Exactly how i feel. Mine only lasted 4k miles, and for short drives i have more traction in town with the MP4S. The SC3R just didn’t have time to heat up on shorter drives. The track is where that tire belongs

3 sets of 3R's this year bought the car new just put it away with the 4th set on it now. 10 track days. 9500 miles on it. Going to switch to PS4S next year and buy a set of track rims.

Similar to me!

I did get a set of PS4S on spare OEM Rims like 1 month after getting the car. I got caught up in a frog strangler the day after buying the car. The GY's are downright frightening in standing water.

I put the PS4S's on when I am know it will be a while between track events. (more than a month).

I have 10k on her now and maybe 13-14 track events, and am on my 4th set of 3R's. It's the fronts that give out first, and I buy all 4 when it is time to replace, but hang on to the rears. I did drive a bit of street on the 1st 2 sets with aggressive camber.

So I have 4 sets of /useable/ rear tires that I am hoping to burn off in epic drifting fashion someday on a skidpad

Wow...maybe Chevy ought to include along with the fuel economy numbers...tire consumption rate!

Impressive performance nonetheless.

5k miles is honestly pretty good for those tires. I could only manage about 1500 miles and 3 track days with the track alignment.

Track alignment questions

I have destroyed two sets of 3Rs now in less than 1500 miles including track time. Only use the car for track and it is a 90 mile round trip to the track and back. First set was due to 3.0 camber. This second set has lasted about the same at the recommended 2.7 camber. What are guys doing here to get more life? I'm thinking it could be the road driving with the camber? Any ideas? 4S to and from the track and change to 3R there? Anyone tried Nitto's or Toyos with better luck? Dial back the camber? 2.5? 2.2? 2.0? Thanks in advance.

I got 700 miles out of my stock G3R's so I'd say at 5k you are doing good. My 1LE is at 1900 miles after 2years and am currently on my 4th set of tires. This is how they looked after the 700 miles.

When I first purchase my car I bought it in Atlanta drove it to tail of the dragon, then asheville, then home to South Florida. Could barely tell the tires were worn.

A good alignment is crucial, any amount of errant toe will eat the tires alive. Tracking is another story but we know that will accelerate wear.

If youre local im willing to take the 3Rs off your hands
