Throttle body
I might pick up a 102mm throttle body but i'm not really willing to pay $400plus for one. There's a blackhorse racing one for under $200 new, an a-team for under $200 new and a BBK used for $240. Anyone used any of these? I know the throttle bodies can be finicky. The bbk looks like it uses the stock electronics and motor, the others come with everything.

BBK had a bad streak of throttle bodies having throttle plates sticking. Not sure if/when this ever got fixed.

Hmmm. Maybe worth just buying the blackhorse one on amazon and seeing how it works for $160. If it's a pos i can always return with amazon lol.

I tried to BBK 102 tb and it caused my engine to pulsate at speed. But I did not tune the car because they told me it did not need to be tuned to use it. So I returned it. Also this was on my NA 13' 1le.

Was that after you had the forced induction? I wasn't gonna change the throttle body but talked to Ted Jannetty at length saturday and at my power level they are good for about 15hp gain i guess.

The larger the blade the more it flutters at WOT which will put it in to Reduced power mode, this is a big problem with aftermarket throttle bodies. If you can't swing a good one don't do one. Ted.

I'm going with a NW 102mm. Remember the GPI intake manifold shootout and how much the combo picked up on the Hi-Ram going from the stock TB to the 102mm...the LOD intake was never tested with a stock TB, so it begs the question of how the 102mm would help to the wheels with the proper intake, both NA and boosted. As always, I will post my results when the time comes

Ted told me it's about 15hp with my setup. He's always been pretty spot on.
