We haven't heard from the OP for 6 months. It's a great idea but I'm afraid that this is not going to happen.

I apologize my camaro was at the dealership since Nov 9. I just got it back yesterday so I can continue to test figment and figure out how to create a tiny hinge.

Why not just have a small hole in it just big enough to put your finger into it?

Not a bad idea, another issue is how to attached it since there barely anything to grab onto with out doing too much and making it look all out of place and also stuff falling into said holes and having to clean it out.

Also I like the idea of flipping up the cap to hit the button like Pilots on fighter jets

My solution. Not 100 percent done yet. Waiting on metal rod for the hinge. Using a paperclip for now. The file was provided by a member here.

Very nice ...but why do you need this with an automatic? Do you flip the shifter over to manual mode and back so often?

Neat idea, I hit that button every trip by accident - caught me out one time and nearly wrecked on a hard accel turn..

My solution was going to be to insert a heavier spring under the button but when I tried to pop the button off it felt Like it would break. Has anyone removed this section before and seen a way to get a spring under there?
