Who runs a catch can and who doesn’t?

I recently returned my catch can after purchasing it because of the long term Car and Driver review of the Camaro which showed that after 40,000, the car matched or bettered ever performance test when new. But just out of curiousity and potential regret, I am wondering who is and who isn’t running a catch can on this forum and if not then have you noticed any perfomance loss?

I get some crap for saying that catch cans are probably not necessary for most people.

I've had catch cans (2) on my car almost since I first purchased it in 2016. I dont put on crazy miles but I am quite aggressive when driving and I do plenty of high acceleration driving (legally). Almost nothing has ever been in the cans. But I had no evidence of needing them before i installed them.

If after you've been driving your car for a few months and you notice your intake is wet around the throttle body. Install a catch can. If your intake is dry and basically clean, then you can be safe skipping it. It's going to vary car to car and environment to environment.

I had one on the car when I initially bought it and took it off shortly after. Then with all the warranty stuff voided stuff being brought up and the car in the shop what seemed like every other week, I decided that I wasn't going to be keeping it long enough to care anyways.

I had the mishimoto when non boosted. now that I am, I run the Elite X2. both did a good job and obvious catching of the oil. So they are doing some help.

I don't run a can. Maybe once the powertrain warranty is up and I clean up the top end ill consider one. But for now, Im not risking the warranty.

None here. 21k on a 2016 2SS. It's just fine but no mods yet. Only had the car for 2 months.

Cellsafemode parallels my thoughts. Also read somewhere about a mechanic who'd been in a number of these 6.2's, and he stated there were no significant buildups. So I don't run one.....(but have an elite in the trunk, brand new.)
Think it was a waste of money.

I don't have one. Dealer said if there's a problem with the motor they will blame it on the catch can and void my lifetime engine warranty. Also said it's only useful if your constantly racing it at a track.you can also clean it out if it gets dirty in about 75000 miles.

No, and don't plan to. Not a knock against it, just don't think it's necessary.
