I just traded in my 2016 1SS A8 (got tired of the automatic transmission). I never reset the trip B odometer. At 40573 miles it read 20.9 MPG.
I really liked that car but I think I will like my new 2018 1SS 1LE M6 better. |

I’m averaging 13.5 mpg per the computer. 2018 1SS 1LE running a mild tune and 98 octane race gas blend.
If I need a mileage fix I drive my 2016 Prius which is averaging 56.4 mpg over the first 20K miles. Yin and yang |

2018 SS 1LE
18.2 MPG lifetime average @ 27 mph (in Bay area commuter traffic) Best of 28.2 MPG according to the last 50 mile average display. This is all according to the computer. I am going to calculate the distance travelled over this tankful to figure out the delta.

not sure how useful it is to anyone. You can get anywhere from low teens to 40mpg depending on how you drive and where you drive with this car. That's just with the V6. The V8 and I4 will have similar spans of mileage.
It's only useful info you know exactly the kind of driving that was done to get the reported number. Otherwise you're left with a range of 30mpg that is "acceptable" ...which is useless info in of itself to try and compare to. if you're cruising with cruise control on a somewhat level highway near sea level, you should expect _at_least_ the EPA's mileage rating. Even if you're driving at 80mph. If you're getting less than the EPA's numbers under the above conditions, then i'd think something might be wrong. There's no point in trying to compare any other type of road driving situation as there's too many variables. |

Yeah no one said they were collecting these metrics for a PhD research paper, so post up your results or post somewhere else. Thanks!
