Post your average fuel economy and engine type

Someone else asked if their fuel economy was off and I thought it might be a good idea to have a reference of what everyone is getting. Maybe this has been done before, but I couldn't find it.

Personally I'm getting 21.3 mpg @ 29mph for the LGX(V6). I figure I'll probably average around 10,000mi per year so at $3 per gal I can figure on roughly $1400 per year in fuel costs.

I calculate the mileage instead of using the trip computer. I find the trip computer to be quite optimistic once you do the calculations.

That said, Fuelly is reporting an average MPG of 19.7 over 4785 calculated miles. 2017 1SS 1LE (3.73 rear gears on the 1LE, an important distinction in mileage calculations)

My MPG depends upon driving conditions....

Highway-22-25 mpg, City as low as 12 in stop-n-go, typically 15-16 in mixed. SS M6.

trip computer shows 28-31 on freeway work commutes (~60 miles round trip, 57-58 being freeway). 25 mile usually shows over 30 mpg. 50 mile shows between 27-29. 400 mile shows 24-26. my calculations show close to the same.

this, of course, drops significantly when my right foot seems to tickle the throttle plate.

The computer is only going to be as accurate as the fuel transducer's calibration which is inevitably going to have an error. The average mph also doesn't really tell the whole tale as far as fuel consumption goes. Given that driving methods and conditions are going to have the greatest impact on fuel economy, I just thought what the computer is saying is probably going to provide the most objective information we can use to compare one with another. Someone who averages 10mph shouldn't expect the same fuel consumption as someone who averages 50mph.

I average around 28-32 MPG.
The 25 mile says 35av and best is 40.
50 says 32av and 36 best
400 says 28av and 32 best.
If I’m in the city I get 19-23 lmao.
