Is there sales tax in Oklahoma? DId you trade something in? Did you have a lot of rebates? Did the car have a PDR?? Just wondering because here in AZ you would have to be around 32-33K sales price to get 39575 OTD.

But that is a great deal!!

Yeah, I'd like to hear how that was possible...basically that would put it at a price point below trade in.

I got mine "out the door" with the PDR and all taxes, fees, etc included for $44k, sticker was $45,700. Not a super "awesome" deal, but I'm surprised I was able to haggle with them at all.

I'm in Phoenix. The "tax" on new cars in this state is weird - it was only about $400 for my 1LE, but where the state gets you is in the yearly registration. I think 1 year registration was $650 or thereabouts. I politely told the salesman to pound sand if he thought I was going to pay this fee and that fee which is basically just cheddar for them anyway, so I got the price down to a point where I said $44k OUT THE DOOR, or I'm walking, and they agreed.

No trade in, there is no sales tax in Oklahoma. That is my actual out the door price I paid for the car. Yes to PDR as all 1LE cars are still required to have the PDR package as of right now, unless that has been changed recently.

I waited 3-4 months, I guess I was able to find a dealer who was motivated and ready to sell one. Some dealers act like the 1LE cars are some sort of ubber rare package. GM has already said they will make as many as the market demands and production materials allow. No reason dealers should be asking full MSRP on cars.

Only thing I could figure is the dealer may of had some dealer cash they threw in on their side to make the deal work. I gave them a number (one I knew they wouldn't hit), they came back with a counter offer that was where I figured it would be and we signed on the dotted line and walked out in 2 hours.

I got mine at the beginning of Jan for 38,9 sale, 41,8 OTD (6% tax in TX + misc), sticker was 45,9 (PDR, 1LE hash). No trade. Dealer had the car on the lot for a day, 6 miles on it. I negotiated for all of 10 minutes at a dealer 5 min down the street, I had no intention of buying it that day just wanted to check it out but these guys really wanted to make a sale so I'm guessing they had other incentives.

39.5k is probably about right if you didn't have to pay sales tax. Here in MI at 6% that will push you to nearly 43k.

If dealers are "acting" like the 1LE is über rare it's probably b/c it IS
given all camaros built in 2017 with LT1 engine I would like to know the percent that come out with 1LE pckg. maybe 1-2% ???

Man, no sales tax must be nice...I paid almost $3000 in sales tax (had no trade in as I sold my other car privately). Very possible they had dealer cash and used it to get you the keys...consider yourself lucky. I can't complain, I got one of, if not the first one in the southeast, and I got over 5k off of sticker and didn't pay any dealer fees...
