This is what I have, plus Rotofab and TM TB, it was recommended for both shops I asked...before to make the build with one of them

My shop is reccomending the larger version of lower pulley you have 9.55 trying to figure out why I don’t see many other people with this size. Most people are running the same size you have 9.17.

I’m guessing the stock supercharger is already close to its limits and the larger 9.55 causes more heat issues and over spins blower?

Bingo!

From doing my fare share of research and asking tons of questions the 9.55 pulley spins the blower too much generating lots of heat. This makes it very inconsistent.

Precisely. That's exactly it. Plus, the 9.55" requires the engine to be lifted or front cradle to be dropped to fit it in.

Go with the 9.17.

Your builder should be very familiar with Meth. If he isn't, then I might start asking for second opinions locally.

Personally I think by far the best tuner and shop in Florida is Fasterproms/Jeremy Formato. He just moved into a beautiful new shop a year ago or so and he does top notch tuning work. Get in contact with them if you can.

Hope this helps.

Theres this sale at fast lane performance in Georgia for 1500 for headers, labor and tune. Called them and asked more about it and they said they use either stainless works or TSP depending on what they have in stock. I asked them how much more it would be to do an upper pulley with the headers. They told me 2260 out the door. Install, tune, everything. Seems like a hell of a deal. Ever heard of these guys?

I have not heard of them. $2260 out the door seems like a good deal, however, keep in mind that dealer pricing on TSP Headers is going to be <$800 and tunes are pretty commonly $500 or so, more if trans tuning or meth scaling etc. You don't really want to add Headers without doing a pulley so good call there. I have not heard of them but looks like they have solid reviews so if they can tune it right, should be a good deal. Don't go with too crazy of a pulley. Stick with a 2.3 or 8.6/9.1 lower. (Not both upper and lower).

Yeah I was gonna do a 2.30 griptech upper with the catless headers and call it a day. Might have to jump on it.

Not everybody is a penny pincher and tries to shortcut and barter every step of the way. I'd stroke a check for Vengeance to work on my car even if it is a premium over doing it on my back in the garage. There's no way that Vengeance quoted $7500 for Headers/Pulley/Tune. That's lifted out of context. Get reading glasses.

The spark plugs actually do help, your tuner may thank you. Wire raps are a good idea too.

I'd do your exact same build but add a btr or equivalent stage 1 cam.
