Did some break in driving this AM in the cooler 59f temps. Still at under 200 miles so tried to keep it at under 4k so that is like saying no to sex. It pops up to 5k very easy. But still trying to stay under 4k best i can.

Drove to the gas station, added Startron and topped up the tank. Came home and hooked up the battery tender. My season has ended as there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow. Man, I am going to miss driving that car during the long winter here in the North Country!

Sad... that said, I always wait for the salt trucks to actually show before I call it quits, next week should be much warmer, plus it feels way too early to give up on 2020. We can't take these beasts out until late March, early April anyway, that's a long time...

Screamed at and uppercutted it's turbocharged taint, as I do my own. Also, I wiped it off with some Sonax... my taint that is, and a little on The Ghost (my SS) as well.

Cleaned the leather and Alcantara of the interior.

Gonna get ready for storage soon, too.

I installed new spark plugs (AC Delco), spark plug wires (MSD), a Mishimoto catch can, cold air intake, (Roto Fab), and painted the strut brace and engine cover.

Also, my spark plugs looked pretty bad after 36K miles. Is this normal? This is why I installed a catch can. My idle was getting a little rough.

That looks really bad.

Personally, I would check if the ignition coil is okay as well, just to be sure. Also, are you having oil consumption at all?

If I am not mistaken, realistically the only place that will get dirty on a DI engine that won't get dirty on a PI engine is the back of the intake valves. In a PI engine, all the blow-by and oil vapour still make its way to the cylinders, they just don't build up as there is fuel constantly cleaning them off.

Yeah, the plug does not look good at all. I wouldn't be as concerned if it was out of a beater, but your Camaro shouldn't be doing that..

Crossed my fingers going into the garage this morning, checked the rear tire depth - nope, didn't magically get new rubber over night LOL. Jumped in, fired her up, put it in reverse to go to work and watched the fuel needle go down :O
