Gentlemen:
Thank you for the feedback. I bought the car with 21,000 miles and these stained tips. arpad_m, I'd be happy with your exhaust tips. They look nice. SSDan, that's a neat and innovative idea. Adam's Polishes, thanks for the links. I'm looking at your products and am not sure what to get first. Many good products! I've converted the engine to E85, so future deposits should not be as bad.

I just let mine get black. At this point, they look painted LOL! If I add an axleback exhaust, it will have black tips.

Realize I’m chiming in late here but my method is crazy simple... after wash I use one Weiman Stainless Steel wipe for all 4 tips, then do all 4 again with another. But with paper towel or a microfibre cloth and done. Shine holds up and takes 60 seconds to do.

I keep my car cleaned on regular basis, so just some left over ONR solution and microfiber towel cleans it up easily. Car soap works fine as well.
For built up deposit a foam applicator pad and some mother's metal polish works great. |
