Plastic most likely isn't going to last 30 years.

In 30 years its hard to say what people will go for as far as SS1Le VS ZL1, just looking at them from a mechanical point of view people may not want a 30 year old supercharged car . Just look at some Z06 Corvette prices and how they have fallen over the years . Either way anything connected with the 1Le option will be more collectable and fitch more money, but none will make you rich.
Whatever makes you feel better

In 30 years no one will remember the 1LE package. The 2002 Camaro had the Y87 Package.
Auburn or Zexel Torsen Limited Slip Differential
3.42 gears Auto/3.23 gears Standard
14.4:1 Sport Steering (same as Z28)
Four-Wheel Disc Brakes

Only 17 years ago no one remembers.

So how aggressively did Chevrolet pitch "Y87" as option identification for its own sake? I doubt it was anywhere near the level that "1LE" has been getting.

People do remember certain option codes. Z28, LT1, L88, L79, maybe F41 . . . I think 1LE falls into this group.

People remember the 3rd gen 1LEs (both firebird and camaro). But yes, very few people bother remembering V6 performance options on an Fbody.. because no one cared even when they were new.

The 1LE cars are extrordinary in performance, they will be remembered. The 2002 camaro was nothing special no matter what the package, no one cared then, no one cares now. Hell I had a 1 of 100 specially built LT4 97 SS SLP cars, not much interest in those cars either.

The 3rd and 4th gen 1Le went from having to delete the AC and radio to become a very watered down version towards the end of the 4th gen , I believe SLP had a 1Le package you could add on . Those early 1Le Camaro got very little magazine coverage and road test and that will be the biggest difference 30 years from now with the 6th gen SS 1Le . Right now there are 1000s of reviews in print and videos on just how good the SS 1Le really is , not just as a track car but one of the best drivers car of its time .

SS 1LE is also the best looking Camaro, which matters a lot as far as how it's perceived in the future.

IMO there's no doubt the 1LE package on the 6th gen will be remembered and most likely fetch a decent premium over the regular SS.

That's very subjective. In my view, the ZL1 (non-1LE) is the most menacing, Camaro like design of the current generation. I don't like the fussy looking front end of the ZL1 1LE. The SS 1LE may come a distant second.

Not entirely subjective... there are reasons the 1LE looks far better than the non-1LE SS and almost everyone agrees. Wheel gap and alignment, etc..

The ZL1 has a lot of similarities to teh SS 1LE and I prefer it's front end but the wheels and the wing kill it. ZL1 with the 1LE spoiler and wheels would be much better.

That's why they make more than one kind of Camaro. I prefer the "standard" ZL1 wheels and spoiler.

+1 on SS1LE looks. Spoiler and rims alone take the car to another level as far as looks imo.

I like the more restrained look. High deck spoilers never really appealed to me. I didn't even like the large one on the 90s 3rd Gen Camaro either. As far as the wheel, i prefer the taller 20" wheels.

We are all different. Would be boring if we all liked the same things.

SMH...so now the SS 1LE will be more desirable and looks better than the ZL1. Ok. Sure.

Let me explain something, not taking anything away from the SLE, there is no way in hell that anyone who is searching for a 6th Gen 20 years from now will pick a SLE over a ZL1 unless money is the deciding factor as the ZL1 is more expensive. And the ZL1 looks are well above the SLE. That isn't even a subjective comment. The ZL1, by far, looks better than the SLE hands down.

Nobody is going to say "oh I'm not sure about purchasing a 30 year old supercharged car". That has never happened in history. That would be like someone picking a GT over the GT500 or a 2003 GT over a Termi Cobra. If the money is not an object, the higher trim will always be the first choice. The only way someone would pick the lower trim is if they plan to mod the hell out of the car and the extra money for the higher trim would be a waste anyway. Unless that happens, no, nobody is going to choose a SLE over a ZL1.

My God where do people come up with this stupid shit.
