Question 305/30ZR20s up front on ZL1?

Questions abound.

Since I have an extra set of 20" forged wheels. I was looking for a set of slicks to put on when i head to a track.
I've had good luck with Hoosiers in the past and can get the R7s at a small discount through a friend.
Now they don't show a 285 in 20", but they do have 305s. Can the 305 fit up front without any issues? Any thoughts on going to a 305 square setup on a stock ride height ZL1?
I don't want to go down to a 265 up front if i can help it, but if it has to be, then it has to be.

295 is pushing it as is, I don't know about a 305 on a 10" front with the spacing. People are fitting a 305 on the ZL1 1LE wheels on regular ZL1s but only at very conservative cambering or it rubs. Not sure how that would change for the regular ZL1 wheels...The 305 will also be taller which will also be a no-no...265 is going to be pretty narrow and short.

Have you looked at the Toyo R888R? They come in good sizing, and they're actually built for the road course but also hook like a drag radial. Lots of members absolutely love these tires, myself included.

I’m running 305s on aftermarket 19s and it is pretty damn tight, for what it’s worth.

I've looked at the Toyos, but don't have any experience with them. I've used Hoosiers on my 15 1LE and they were very predictable and had decent wear for the usage on these heavy cars. I was kinda hoping to stick with the known commodity in this case.

I know the Hoosiers do have a more pronounced corner to them than most other tires and that's what I think would be the killer in fitment for me.

How is the wear on the Toyos on larger tracks? Any draw backs at high speed? What camber are others running with Toyos?
I'm currently at -1.9 front and -1.4 rear. On stock tires the outside edge is wearing pretty heavy. I can go a bit more negative front and rear for sure. But what's a real world example from a Toyo user?

I’m thinking about the R888Rs my self in 295/30/20 and 315/30/20. Pretty sure it will hook like crazy. A 265/30/20 is going backwards. You will lose grip and the height will be off by an inch.

So R888Rs 295/30/20 and 315/30/20 should fit ok? That will be a sweet setup. I'll have to check that out

Really only going to be a 1/2” width increase for both front and back. I’ve seen someone on here put 305/30/20 in the front and 325/30/20 in the back. Looked sick!
