With the looks of the refreshed SS, I suspect sales will go further south, so we may never see the 7th generation.

I hope I am wrong. But it's that ugly.

They are too far into 7th Gen development to cancel it now. We will see it

Now if we see an 8th Gen or not could be a valid concern

If I screwed up this big at my job I’d be looking for new work.
Honestly guys if they don't do a gen7 I wouldn't mind, just means that my car would be more sought after and more unique and rare. I feel the same way about my 13 red candy cl tint m6 gt premium car, I had the dealer I bought the car from and others offering me top dollar for interested buyers who were waiting for the 15 model mustang and chose to go to the 13 14 year model and I feel the same.

The Camaro will NEVER be a Corvette

Nope it will not.. but it is very close.. The GEN6 is the best driving Camaro to date and right with the Corvette in many ways. I know several Corvette owners that now own a Camaro SS.. Me being one of them I owned Corvettes for 20 years and found that I was ready for a muscle car again after test driving the new SS.

take me as an example, owning a corvette has been one of those life goals. Buy a brand new vette when I could afford it. If the Corvette becomes unaffordable when it goes Mid engine and they say Camaro here the fills the slot left by the C7, sorry lost a sale. If I am in the position to buy a Corvette I will never substitute a Camaro for it. I don't care if the Camaro is a better performer in every measurable statistic, it's not a Corvette, never will be a Corvette

As a lifelong Corvette fan---and prior owner---I agree! My 2010 SS made me like Camaro, and my 2018 SS has made me love Camaro. Unless I can afford a Z06 or ZR1 in the future, I'll purchase new Camaros over pre-owned Corvettes.

You might not but a lot of people that want a weekend toy or just a Sport or Muscle Car will if their budget can't handle the starting price $55,000.00 for a current Corvette. Right now to build a new one that has the features of a 2SS is more like $68,000.00.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the style and history of the Corvette , one day I might buy another new Corvette but for now I'm enjoying being back in a Muscle/ sports car. I think a lot more people will do the same if the Corvette approaches that starting price of $90,000.00 mark that is rumored on the Mid-engine

I wish you the best in owning a Corvette one day. I've always said everyone should own a Corvette at least once in their lifetime.

2022 is my bet.

I'm taking good care of my 2010 and planning to skip Gen6.

Old people make a big deal about Vette. Younger generation seems to care less about that.

Seriously guys?

The poor dude just asked what year the 7th gen is coming, and you all turn it into a thread crying about how we'll never see a 7th gen because "sales will tank".

Psst... The current 6th gen made sales tank for the Camaro. Plus, people will buy this car and look for a forum to come hang out in. Imagine what they'll think when they see 184 threads bashing their cars. Not a very friendly, adult car scene if you ask me.
