Wink

Randy Pobst loves 1LE Camaros. I was very surprised to read that he bought a 4 cylinders turbo 1LE instead of the SS1LE

He thought the SS 1LE was overkill for a street car, and feared he'd end up in jail in short order.

On the factory 2.0T 1LE that competed in CAM-C, as someone else noted that only ate turbos because of the anti-lag system they used, and the fact that they used it at all times rather than just at events. IOW, it was active in street driving, and they were driving that car to events around the country. On overrun into corners, it shot flames out the exhaust as it used fuel and/or severely retarded timing to energize the exhaust flow through the turbine. It's easy to see how this would have led to burned up turbos, but this is not endemic to the car as delivered to regular customers!

And yet the turbo failures on this one, modified engine bring out the "Did they ever fix the blown turbo problem?" every time the 2.0t gets brought up. Modded V8's get blown up all the time yet somehow it's understood that it's not a problem for stock engines.

I'm looking at one now V6 LS 1LE NPP Mosaic black with black 20" wheels. hard to price them since most of the value calculators dont even have 1LE or performance pkg listed. Its a 2017 with only 36k miles on it. They want 28,900 for it.

Just an FYI: a 2.0T Camaro took 2nd place in CAM-C at the SCCA Solo Nationals. This was out of 48 entries in the class. I'm told that this car is also the owner's daily driver.
