After waiting more than three months since the accident on March 25, the day finally arrived for my appointment at the body shop. Yesterday I dropped off the car for repairs. According to the shop manager they were able to order all the parts and they were supposed to be delivered yesterday too. Here's hoping that all the parts have arrived and that the repairs all get done to my satisfaction. LOL! Hopefully I'll have the car back in two weeks or less.

Good luck, ZPirate

If it's any encouragement/consolation, I waited a total 3.5 months for parts and body shop repairs in 2020 when a little (self-induced) mishap occurred. However, when the repairs were done, the car was driving better and tracking more straight than new, even after dealership alignments... they must have had a magic alignment rack.

Good luck with the wait! I'm in the same boat after my mishap. Dropped her off 15 days ago, just got the supplement approved from the insurance yesterday. Now work begins!

Thanks man. I'm hoping for the best. The body shop seems pretty confident that they can make it as good as new. And I've had experience with this shop as they have made repairs to both of my kids vehicles. Unfortunately, both had accidents within the first year or two of driving.

Thanks! Good luck with your car too! I was worried that some of the 1LE parts might be hard to get or on constraint. The shop is having to replace the front facia, the front lip and the front wheel among other things on my car.

So far on mine, they are replacing the passenger side door and side mirror and a few odds and ends due to them having to blend the paint. The door itself is ~$1500, but i was surprised the mirror housing is $603!

Overall, the damages sit at $5800

Yeah, its amazing what the parts cost. The front 1LE wheel is a grand. They are also replacing the front fender on my car and will have to blend the paint on the passenger door. The cost of the repairs to my car is about the same as yours, maybe slightly more.

Thanks! The car has been a lot of fun.

I got a call from the body shop on Friday. The car should be finished mid to late next week. They only found one more part that had to be replaced. That was the passenger side headlight. They should have the new headlight next week.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait a couple of months for the paint to cure before I can have PPF reinstalled. And to replace the hash mark on the passenger side. What a pain in the ass this entire ordeal has been.

Unfortunately the car is still in the body shop. Last week they told me it would likely be ready today, but now its looking like later this week or possibly next week.

Did you get her back yet? I just got mine back after 4 weeks on Monday. They did a really great job, but didn't replace the double-sided tape on my zl1 addons rock guards and i'm guessing didn't put the clip in it well. Was pulling into work yesterday and heard a noise. It was hanging on by the body push clip and was dragging. Just something to double-check! Right now i used a small binder clip and replaced the double-sided tape until I can find one of the clips like they use.

Ironically, I received a call yesterday afternoon while I was out of town that the car is finally ready for me to pick up. Since I couldn't pick it up yesterday, I'm going to go pick it up at lunch today. Here's hoping that it turns out as good as yours did. Your post got me thinking about the ACS rock guard on the front passenger side of my car. I hope they were able to put it back on. Especially since it is riveted on through the fender liner. I guess I will find out soon enough. I've still got to deal with having PPF reinstalled, but I've got to wait for the paint to cure first.

Glad to hear that your car turned out the way it did. If your only issue is the rock guard, I'd consider that a fantastic end result.
