Tow hook
Ok I'm a little unclear on this- are tow hooks like this actually functional?
https://www.phastekperformance.com/Z...a-6-fpthss.htm Not gonna lie, I actually kind of like them just for aesthetic purposes, but if it's not functional I don't think i could bring myself to do it, even though I haven't and don't track my car. I'm still on the fence because that seems semi poser-ish. Thoughts? |

Opinions are like assholes and everyone has one, heres mine. When I see a car with a mounted tow hook off the track it's on the rice level of windshield banners, fart cans and stretched tires, especially a tarted up one. YMMV

Nothing wrong with a nice little tow hook as long as you don't get the one that you 3M tape to a random spot on the bumper

Yes, it is functional. You should have a basic OEM version in the trunk. |

These are down there with cambered wheels for me, but that’s just my opinion.
In the end it’s your car, do with it what You want to do with it and screw what anyone else thinks. |

Take that thing to the track & you’ll appreciate that negative camber lol. On my SS 1LE I actually got better tire wear on the street with the track alignment.

I should’ve caught on to what you meant. Had some guys at work asking about my tow hook & negative camber the other day.. had to explain its cause I actually go to the track lol

I, for one, 100% feel like it is a ricer move to put one on if you do not track the car. With that being said, I have one on my car and I don't track it because I like it and I also 100% believe "it's your car, do what you want".
I did go with black so it blends a little. The angle of this pic makes it look a little crooked butt hat is only because it is perpendicular to the car, not the bumper. Last edited by Rhobz; 12-07-2020 at 07:49 AM. |

It’s functional but always hope you never use it. Tracking and you break down or go off in the weeds, you are not gonna be able to dig it out of the trunk and that’s why it must be installed prior to lapping.
Tracking not a poseur, running to the mall? Well....not that it looks bad but it’s not really needed. NY requires a front plate, so I have my plate mounted in that spot |

Everyone has different tastes. Screw what everyone thinks! The ones you see the ricers driving around with, those do look weird and like they’re double faced taped on to parts of the car they shouldn’t be. The ones sold by Zl1addons is a true quality functional piece that’s also looks good. A must have for tracking. It’s not cheap for a reason. And for the money why would You just keep it the trunk. I personally think they look good on the Camaro whether or not you track the car. It’s your prerogative If you choose to drive around with it on.
