An NPP touring edition would be the only way I would get rid of the stock suitcase! AWE seems to be in a league of their own when it comes to sound. But I need those damn valves! It sucks seeing it’s offered on other cars like VW/Audi but not us.

Dave how does the resonated touring catback sound vs unres model?

Likely to keep my factory headers & cats for awhile (still have factory warranty). Currently running non-npp dual-tips. Likely to stick to duals since I don't wanna have to swap the diffuser.

Unsure if I like the raspiness of the axleback. Looking for a smooth, low v8 rumble. Is the resonated model significantly lower volume? or just a tad?

Just purchased my '18 2SS (new-to-me) without NPP, & can't wait to swap this worthless v6-sounding stock exhaust lol

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I love the non-Resonated Touring. That's the special sauce for me. The Resonated Touring is really going to target any additional rasp introduced from link pipes or headers, etc. Look forward to your review of the system once you get it!

For those of you running AWE systems, I'm always looking for content to share here and on our other social media channels. If you are on Instagram, be sure and tag us with @awetuningofficial . I cover that channel and you can always shoot me a DM there (I'm on IG almost 24/7) and I'll get back to you pretty quickly. I appreciate the AWE support as well as the honesty of those wanting to keep the NPP functionality.

As promised, here is a pretty beefy ZL1 build from @cl1pszl1

I've been looking to upgrade to an exhaust system, I'm not concerned about drone or being too loud as the car isn't a DD, but I run at tracks that have decibel meters. Is there anyone who's run the AWE system that can tell how they've done on reading at a track like NCM?

There isn't much difference between the Track and Touring at WFO to be honest. I'd say both are well into the 100's wide open. Touring is deeper at wide open so you get less of the high-frequency slap-back that sound meters tend to read.

I debated on which system to get at first and ended up with AWE Touring, would do it again. Great Sound! Video below of the car. In the coming weeks I could make a better and shorter one for you all to market / put on your site.

That video is awesome! The Hero 9 Media Mod seems better than the 8.

For those that want to see a vid preview before clicking:
