I cut my tape in half so it was like an 1/8" vs 1/4" after that, with an open palm, I hit it in. You have to make sure all the clips engage. I'd bet looking at your pic the middle clips are not engaged.

I ended up ordering another one and it fit fine. So, im going to return this defective one. Also, had the chance to buff out that little scratch in my pic. SO it worked out ha. Still not 100% flush, but the new one seals A LOT better.

apologize for the thread bump. But wanted to clarify - the smoked 3rd brake light is now $115 on it's own? I just watched a youtube video where the owner said he picked it up for $65, and I was bummed when I came here to investigate.

I mean, I can't blame them. As long as they can't blame me for being miffed. Especially after completely botching trying to tint my OEM light and having to throw the tint away.

I was able to get a decent looking tint on the 3rd brake light, but I picked up a smoked one anyways. Going to install soon.
