Oh that would be very cool.

So, I saw your earlier note where it would only engage when the vehicle is in Traction Control System Off and Electronic Stability Control Off state. Is that the equivalent of Track/Race mode? Or is that where you hold the traction control button down for 7 seconds to shut stuff off?

I am not sure yet. I tried to see what else was on that bulletin in SI and their isn't anything there yet. I might bring my car into work tomorrow to get the programming done and play with it this weekend.

Based on a charti read a long time ago in here... I believe it will be activated with in Competitive mode / Race... they identify this mode for Drag.... Ill see if I can i find this chart.

Remember LC is only activated when in Competitive mode, So it would make sense to be in the Race PTM option.

**See below the chart

Wow! $350 for a factory tune seems over-priced unless it takes over 2.5 hours to perform.

Race is also the least intrusive track setting for road course/autoX, which is what the eLSD was mainly used and programmed for, so in order for the drag tune to be available in Race, there would have to be a separate setting. When these drag tunes were first mentioned over a year ago, I assumed they would likely create a separate drag mode option somewhere in the menu that would activate the drag calibrations for the diff, trans, and shocks, and would also move line lock and launch control into this new mode.

So is this something only a dealer can see, because I can't find any information on the GM performance website for this. I want more info!! Lol! Does this include a trans tune as well, since there are 2 different part numbers based on which trans the car has? And what about the magride calibration to aid weight transfer off the line that they mentioned as part of their drag concept?

I'd be very surprised if this doesn't work for the ss 1le as well. Where did you find this info?

That Chart is supposedly directly from GM, but hey i read it in a forum not from actual GM.

Also, Randy Pobst when he test drove the 1LE also did talk about how the car felt better in Sport 1, Sport 2 Modes as opposed to "Race" mode.... so there might be a thing there.

I'll post more if I see anything else in Service Information. The bulletin number attached in the memo is not available yet to see. I think this is just a differential tune only.

I would do a mag ride update if it's anything like the Corvette Mag Ride update. I have done at least a dozen or so for my Vette customers and they all have said it's a noticeable ride difference after it was programmed.

There is more nanny assistance than Race in Sport 1 and 2, so that makes sense. I think that chart is actually in our owners or performance manual that comes with the car. The drag strip at the bottom of the chart is only referring to the type of launch control available in each PTM setting. If I remember right, you also have to go to PTM race in order to use line lock, which is only used for drag racing. To me, it only makes sense to separate the drag settings from the track settings, but it doesn't sound like that is what's being done here, unfortunately.
